Don't you just love airports? Every little thing about the workings of an airport seems to be designed to drive passengers crazy. I'm just sitting in the very small food court of the international terminal waiting for the dumb ticket people to arrive. Apparently being a ticket person in the international terminal is a good gig. You don't have to come to work until a few hours before the one flight of the day for your airlines. I was so tired of sitting in the sun looking at empty desks that I finally tried to check in using the few self-check in machines. None of them could read either of the credit cards I have with me, and the only other options are to scan your ticket, or enter your booking number. Of course, I never write down any of my important numbers for flights, so I had to buy some internet to look that up. Finally the self-check in started to work! Unfortunately it only checked me in to Stockholm. I don't want to have to check in yet again! But I sullenly accepted the fact that I would and tried to enter the terminal area. The passport checker lady didn't let me in because my flight isn't for another 5 1/2 hours. At least the Louisville lady was nice enough to check my luggage all the way to St. Petersburg so I didn't have to deal with all that again in Chicago.
By the way, peanut butter is NOT allowed to be in your carry-on.
I will update as soon as more information is available, ladies and gentlemen. Please remain in the gate area.
